The De La Salle golf team turned in a performance for the ages on Monday, capturing the East Bay Athletic League Championship at Poppy Ridge Golf Course with an incredible -17 team score.
In a display of depth and dominance rarely seen at the high school level, five Spartans finished under par, controlling the leaderboard from start to finish and separating themselves from the field.
Senior Noah Eisen led the charge with a brilliant 66, earning individual medalist honors. He was backed by a complete team effort:
Head Coach Leo Lopoz summed it up best:
"One of the best team performances in high school golf history for an 18-hole tournament. All five scoring players competed every shot and executed the plan to perfection to allow them to come up with a score that has not been seen in a long time and may not ever be seen again."
From the first tee to the final putt, the Spartans executed with precision, composure, and confidence—delivering a result that will be remembered as one of the premier performances in program history.
With the EBAL Championship secured, De La Salle now turns its focus to the North Coast Section Championship, carrying unmatched momentum into the next phase of competition.
