The Spartans traveled south to compete at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational, the largest high school–only track and field meet in the country. The event featured more than 800 athletes from across the United States, along with international competitors, including Olympic gold medalist Quincy Wilson of Bullis School (MD).
Facing one of the deepest and most talented fields in the nation, the Spartans delivered an impressive performance, highlighted by standout sophomore Damari Dean. Dean competed in four highly competitive events, showcasing his versatility and speed throughout the weekend.
He placed fifth in the 100 meters (10.72) and returned to anchor the Spartans' 4x100 relay team—alongside Duece Jones-Drew, Dylan Rogers, and Emery Speight—to a seventh-place finish in the invitational race (41.40). The group also earned a sixth-place finish in the invitational 4x200 relay (1:27.16), a mark that ranks third all-time in school history.
Dean capped his weekend with a fourth-place finish in the seeded 200 meters (21.43), moving into fourth all-time on the school's record board.
In the hurdles, Chase Young delivered a strong performance in the invitational 110-meter hurdles, clocking a season-best 13.87 to place fifth. His time ranks among the top five in the state and stands as the second-fastest in school history.
