The Spartans made their presence felt all over the track on Saturday, highlighted by outstanding performances in the sprints. Damari Dean led the charge with a blazing 10.43 in the 100 meters, followed closely by Dylan Rogers at 10.59 and Duece Jones-Drew at 10.81.
De La Salle's 4x100 relay team of Jones-Drew, Dean, Rogers, and Zian Crockett delivered a standout performance, racing to a 41.10 finish. The time earned a second-place finish and currently ranks No. 5 in the state.
In the hurdles, Chase Young placed third in the 110-meter hurdles while recording the fifth-fastest time in California this season.
Several other Spartans turned in strong performances at one of California's premier meets, continuing to showcase the team's depth and competitiveness. The Redondo Track Festival, held March 13–14, annually brings together many of the top programs in the state, making it one of the most competitive early-season events.
