De La Salle Wrestling delivered a strong overall performance at the 2026 EBAL Championships, finishing third as a team while showcasing a balanced mix of veteran leadership and promising young talent throughout the lineup.
The Spartans were led by EBAL Champions Cameron Shirazi (115 lbs) and Wyatt Ferguson (287 lbs), who each captured individual titles with dominant performances in their respective brackets. Their leadership helped set the tone for a competitive and resilient showing from the green and gold.
De La Salle also saw multiple athletes reach the podium. Domenic Novosel (108 lbs) and Sha'him Kimbrell (177 lbs) each earned second-place finishes, while Cyrus Tamplen (146 lbs), Max Munzinger (190 lbs) and LJ Olson (215 lbs) added third-place medals. Additional scoring came from Ojani Sandez (122 lbs) and Antonio Colombana (159 lbs), who both placed fourth, along with Christian Arvizu (128 lbs) in fifth and Hunter Showaker (140 lbs) in sixth.
Several younger Spartans gained valuable postseason experience, including first-year varsity competitors Colombana and Pedro Torres (167 lbs), who battled through a tough bracket before an injury default ended his tournament early.
With a strong mix of senior leadership and emerging underclassmen, the Spartans continue to build momentum as they look ahead to the next phase of postseason competition.
