Spartans Track and Field had a strong showing in the Clovis heat

With Clovis temps in the 90's deep into the night, the De La Salle Track and Field team showed that they were one of California's hottest teams this season. Led by Jaden Jefferson, the Spartans finished 6th overall. One day after he ran the 100m in a state-record 10.01 seconds, Jefferson locked in and won the state title with a time of 10.27. He then came back to finish 4th in the 200m, which added 5 points to the team score.

Our 4x100m team ran a 40.80 which is a new school record and grabbed a 4th place in the finals. The relay group was Deuce Jones-Drew, Jaden Jefferson, Emery Speight and Ikembuchukwu Udeh. Anthony Dean finished off a strong season in the triple jump finishing in 7th. Trey Caldwell (10th) and Tadhg Murray (17th) closed out the competition in the 3200m.

De La Salle was the only school from the North Coast Section to finish in the State's top 20! Congrats to all on a terrific *run* to end the season!!
