De La Salle's Track & Field team wins the NCS Meet of Champions in record breaking fashion

For the third year in a row, the Spartans Track & Field team won the NCS Meet of Champions. This year however was a little different...The team score of 93 is most points any team has scored in the NCS MOC as far back as they show team scores!! Also the largest margin of victory as far back as they show team scores, second place was El Cerrito with 38 points. In 2024 the winning score was 53, 9 points better than second place Cardinal Newman. 

Jaden Jefferson pulled the championship double, winning both the 100m and 200m. Jefferson set a new section record in the 100m with a time of 10.3. Other champions included Chase Young 100H, Anthony Dean triple jump, Trey Caldwell 3200m and the 4x400m relay team - Ikembuchukwu Udeh, Chase Young, Dominic Kelley and Toa Faavae.

The CIF State meet is this Friday and Saturday. We are sending a DLS record number of athletes to the competition. Joining the names above are Tadhg Murray, Chase Nickens, Emery Speight and Duece Jones-Drew.
