The dominance continues for De La Salle Swimming.
On Saturday, the Spartans captured their fifth consecutive North Coast Section Championship, battling their way to a thrilling team title at the 2026 NCS Championships. De La Salle finished with 281 points, narrowly defeating Amador Valley, who finished with 275 points in one of the closest championship races in recent memory.
The championship performance was highlighted by a historic swim in the 200-yard Medley Relay, where the Spartan quartet of Chase Lewis, Tanner Lustig, Matthew Nakayama and Blake Hill delivered a record-breaking performance of 1:30.23. The relay shattered both the De La Salle school record and the overall North Coast Section record, cementing the group as one of the fastest relay teams in section history.
De La Salle also received standout individual performances from Dmitriy Oransky, who continued his remarkable postseason by setting two new school records. Oransky broke the De La Salle marks in both the 200-yard Freestyle and the 500-yard Freestyle, helping power the Spartans to the team championship.
The title showcases the continued excellence and depth of the De La Salle swimming program, which once again proved itself among the premier programs in California. From record-breaking relay performances to clutch individual swims, the Spartans rose to the occasion when it mattered most.
With another banner added to the program's legacy, De La Salle Swimming continues to set the standard in the North Coast Section. Now its on to the CIF State Meet which starts later this week!!
