Spartans Represent: De La Salle Football Players Earn All-Bay Area Recognition

The 2025 high school football season brought plenty of standout performances across the Bay Area, and our Spartans were well represented on the All-Bay Area News Group team as one of the region's elite programs. De La Salle's players earned multiple spots across offense and defense, showcasing the depth and talent on the Concord squad.

On offense, senior tight end Landon Cook earned first-team honors, finishing the year with 23 receptions for 326 yards and three touchdowns and cementing his role as one of the area's most reliable pass-catchers.

Jaden Jefferson earned first-team athlete honors as he rushed for over 1000 yards, while operating as a lockdown corner on defense.

Up front on the offensive line, Wyatt Ferguson was named to the first team, playing a key role in De La Salle's road to its 33rd consecutive North Coast Section title and deep postseason run.

Defensively, leader Nemyah Telona earned first-team recognition on the defensive line, anchoring the Spartan front with 30 tackles, seven for loss and three sacks.

In the linebacking corps, Bubba Vargas stood out with a first-team selection, finishing with 65 tackles, more than 10 tackles for loss and an interception, anchoring a defense that consistently made big plays.

The Spartans also had several honorable mentions, including quarterback Brayden Knight, Ben Glover on the line and Brady Smith as a running back. Lastly, senior utility player Justin Uribarri picked up an honorable mention among kickers/punters, adding to De La Salle's broad representation across the selections.

Together, these honors underscore De La Salle's status as a perennial powerhouse in Bay Area high school football and highlight the individual efforts that fueled a memorable 2025 season.
