Spartans Clinch 15th North Coast Section Championship with Dominant Win

The Spartans came through with six two-out base hits on their way to a 11-2 win over College Park to secure the program's 15th North Coast Section Championship at Saint Mary's College on Saturday.

Roman Bartosh and Mason Cortez combined to pitch four-hitter as Bartosh won for the seventh time in his last eight starts. Tyler Spangler paced the Spartans with three hits, including two triples and two runs batted in, while Antonio Castro had two hits and three runs batted in, and Bubba Vargas drove in two runs.

The 26-4 Spartans will now play in the CIF NorCal regional playoffs as the top overall seed and will host Del Oro on Tuesday at 4pm.
