Overall, the 2021-22 school year was a pretty good one for De La Salle Athletics, as multiple teams enjoyed success on the field of competition and in the classroom. Congratulations to all of the varsity student-athletes who contributed to an amazing chapter in our storied history. Below is a list of highlights from this past school year:
In total, 28 De La Salle student-athletes signed a National Letter of Intent to continue playing at the collegiate level.
The Spartans collected seven (7) East Bay Athletic League championships in the sports of water polo, basketball, soccer, wrestling, lacrosse, golf, and swimming and diving.
De La Salle won nine (9) North Coast Section Championships in the sports of water polo, football, soccer, golf, wrestling, lacrosse, swimming and diving; and baseball.
The school saw six teams make CIF Northern California Championship appearances, including football (Division 1 runner up), water polo (semifinalist), soccer (semifinalist), basketball (Open Division qualifiers), golf (record sixth championship, and baseball (champions).
Additionally, De La Salle won one CIF State Championship in the sport golf and the swimming and diving team finished fifth in the state.
All varsity teams finished with a 3.0 GPA or higher during their season of sport.
