Spartan Athletics Weekly - April 4, 2022
This is a recap of the prior week’s action in DLS Spartans Athletics!
Swimming & Diving
Swim team road trip was a success as the boys did very well at the Oak Ridge Invitational. DLS was the #1 team! Coach Tom Johnson had this to say about the programs strong performance, “ It was a great meet for both the JV and Varsity squads. We’re really gelling as a team as we wrap up the dual meet phase of the season and transition into the championship phase. The boys have been working extremely hard and they are excited for what’s in store!”
Volleyball
EBAL x2 resulted in wins over Cal High and Monte Vista. The team has now won 8 straight with some time before a rematch vs Dublin on 4/12.
Lacrosse
Lax enters the week at 8-1 overall with its lone loss to nationally ranked St. Ignatius. Monte Vista at home on Tuesday.
Baseball
Spartans will look to bounce back from a tough road loss, as we host highly ranked Cal High on Wednesday.
Golf

Ice Hockey
Our Ice Hockey Team has started their spring schedule and 2-1 through 3 games
Tennis
Our Tennis Team has a big week coming up with matches on April 11, 12, and 14 vs. Dublin, Granada, and Foothill.
Track and Field
Anthony Trucks won the 300 hurdles at the West Coast Relays with a personal best time of 38.98 which moves him to 1st on the NCS list and 9th in the state.
