De La Salle Announces Inaugural 151 Football Showcase at Memorial Stadium
De La Salle High School is proud to announce the inaugural 151 Football Showcase, a premier celebration of high school football featuring four of California's top programs. The event will take place on Saturday 26, 2026, at Memorial Stadium on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley.
The showcase pays tribute to one of the greatest achievements in high school football history — De La Salle's historic 151-game winning streak from 1992-2004. Under legendary head coach Bob Ladouceur, the Spartans won 151 consecutive games, establishing the longest winning streak in the history of American football.
The number 151 represents the commitment, discipline, teamwork, and character that have defined De La Salle football for generations. The remarkable streak became a symbol of excellence beyond the game itself and was later chronicled in the book and feature film When the Game Stands Tall.
The inaugural 151 Football Showcase will feature two exciting matchups:
11:00 AM
Saint Mary's (Stockton) vs. Marin Catholic
2:00 PM
De La Salle vs. Corona Centennial
Hosted at one of the Bay Area's most iconic venues, the showcase will bring together elite football programs, student-athletes, coaches, and fans for a memorable day celebrating competition and tradition.
"We are excited to create an event that honors the legacy of 151 while showcasing the next generation of student-athletes," said Leo Lopoz the Vice President of Athletics at De La Salle. "This is an opportunity to celebrate the history of De La Salle football and the values that continue to guide our program."
Additional details regarding ticket information, parking, event logistics and other showcase activities will be released in the near future.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 26, 2026, and join us at Memorial Stadium for the 151 Football Showcase — a celebration of tradition, excellence, and the future of high school football.
