DLS Wrestling Update

De La Salle Wrestling had a strong showing at the Old Dutch Tournament, with several Spartans battling throughout the weekend and bringing home top honors. Three wrestlers captured tournament championships and earned the event's custom wooden swords:

• Ojani Sandez - Freshman who beat the #1 and #2 seeds to win the Championship at 126 lbs

• Shahim Kimbrell – 175 lbs

• LJ Olson – 215 lbs

In addition, three more Spartans placed high in their respective weight classes:

• Cameron Shirazi – 2nd place

• Fernando Carranza – 3rd place

• Max Munzinger – 3rd place

The team's grit, effort, and Spartan spirit were on full display. De La Salle now turns its attention to the next challenge: the James Riddle Memorial Tournament.
