De La Salle High School is gearing up to make waves at the prestigious 2025 North vs. South Challenge, hosted at Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton. The two-day tournament — Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18 — brings together elite water polo programs from Northern and Southern California for an intense showcase of skill, grit, and school pride.
Before tournament play begins, the Spartans will take on California's #1 ranked team Newport Harbor, in the event's Thursday Showcase. The Showcase features four marquee matchups, each highlighting two top-tier programs — an exciting opportunity for student-athletes to shine before official competition begins.
In their opening tournament game, De La Salle will face Loyola at 1:25pm. The Cubs currently lead the Mission League with a perfect 4–0 record, setting the stage for a thrilling North vs. South showdown.
Fans unable to attend in person can still catch all the action, as every game will be livestreamed.
The Spartans' presence at the North vs. South Challenge is a testament to De La Salle's commitment to excellence — always striving to compete among the best and push the boundaries of achievement. Good luck Spartans!!
